Gossip Announce Live Album And London Date

added 12 February 2008 at 15.50

While the wait continues for the follow-up to the colossal monster that was 'Standing In The Way Of Control', Portland trio Gossip have announced details of a live album and a one-off live date in London.

The imaginitively-titled 'Live In Liverpool' (can you guess where it was recorded?) is released on April 7 and will be available on CD and download.

The album will feature hits from their breakthrough 'Standing In The Way Of Control' album as well as singer Beth Ditto's signature lesbian anthem 'Swing Low'. Also making an appearance are Gossip's idiosyncratic covers of Aaliyah's 'Are You That Somebody?' and George Michael's 'Careless Whisper'.

Work on their fourth album will be interupted with an exclusive live show at the Shepherds Bush Empire on March 21. Tickets priced £16.50 are on sale now from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop here

The track listing for 'Live In Liverpool' is:

'Eyes Open'
'Yr Mangled Heart'
'Swing Low'
'Are U That Somebody?'
'Fire/Sign'
'Coal To Diamonds'
'Jealous Girls'
'Keeping You Alive'
'Don't Make Waves'
'Yesterday's News'
'Standing In The Way Of Control'
'Listen Up!'
'Careless Whisper'
