Gnarls Barkley Change Album Release Date

added 11 March 2008 at 15.32

Gnarls Barkley - that'll be Cee-Lo Green and Danger Mouse - have announced their intention to bring forward the release date of their much-anticipated second album. And there's also the small issue of changing their latest video...

The appropriately named 'The Odd Couple' will now hit the shelves one week earlier than planned on March 31 though all you digi-evangelists out there can download yours on March 18.

Speaking of what to expect, a not-so-humble Cee-Lo was moved to comment: “It’s just bigger, badder, bolder and more arena-friendly.

“I know we’re always so modest, but let me toot my own horn. It’s really fucking good.”

So there you have it. And who can argue with that?

On change-related tip, the duo have also had to re-shoot the video for 'Run' after the original video posed the very real danger of inducing epileptic fits in viewers thanks to its use of strobe lights.

Talking to Billboard, Cee-Lo confirmed that the video had been altered: "It seemed justifiable to hesitate a bit to make sure it didn't result in something severe. We just focused on any compromise we could come to. We didn't get too agitated - we just concentrated our focus on how we could resolve the problem".
