Free Gigs By Coldplay

In an act of supreme generosity, not only will Coldplay be giving away their new single but they'll also play two free gigs. 'Violet Hill' will be available for download for one week only from 12.15pm tomorrow (April 29).

'Violet Hill' will be a taster of the band's new album, 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' and will be available from the band's website. The track will then be available via conventional digital release one week later which translates as "...you'll have to pay for it from May 6".

Coldplay have also announced details of two free gigs. One will be held at London's Brixton Academy on June 16 while the second will be at Madison Square Gardens in New York on June 23.

Details of how to win tickets can be found at Coldplay's website. Fans are advised not to contact the venues involved as neither have tickets to sell.

'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' is released on June 12 and has been produced by Brian Eno and Markus Dravs.
