Exclusive: Mystery Jets Bad Luck Curse?

Speaking to Xfm at the No Surrender Charity Night, Mystery Jets told Xfm about their recent and...mysterious (oh, go on)...run of bad luck.
Sitting in The Forum ahead of their charity gig that night (May 28) Mystery Jets frontman Blaine Harrison and guitarist William Rees told Xfm that things have all been going a little bit wrong recently.
Having arrived too late to even sound check for that nights show (for No Surrender Charitable Trust) the pair explained:
"It's been a week of interesting events. We've had our van broken into, laptops stolen, phones lost, and our sun roof ripped off on the motorway, we had to wait four hours to get onto a ferry to France and then take a massive diversion all the way across to the Russian mountains."
These recents happenings are just adding to the Jets spell of bad luck: the band were forced to cancel gigs earlier that month (May) after Harrison injured his foot whilst chilling in a jacuzzi in what they call a "bizarre swimming accident".
Perhaps Harrison's dad Henry - who left the band last year - was their mysterious lucky charm.
Musically however the band are on a high. The follow-up to their recent hit single, 'Young Love' (with Laura Marlin) is called 'Two Doors Down' - which, as Harrison revealed is "kind of to do with a real person. She used to wash her mum's car on a Sunday and wear hot pants when I was only nine and she was fifteen. She was really hot, sexy!".
Plus, even better, they've scored a slot on Xfm's All Day Breakfast extravaganza on June 21 alongsige Paul Weller, Primal Scream and many more. Find out more and win tickets.
