Exclusive: Mark Ronson On Winehouse And Kaiser Chiefs New Material

Mark Ronson has told Xfm the new Kaiser Chiefs album is "amazing" and insists Amy Winehouse's new material will be well worth the wait.
Speaking at yesterday's Ivor Novello Awards - which saw Radiohead scoop Best Album and Winehouse win Best Song for 'Love Is A Losing Game' - Mark Ronson told Xfm about the troubled singer:
"She's gonna write songs when they're ready to come out. Some people are incredibly prolific and then there's some people who take a long time to write stuff that's just as good.
"You can't really generalise about how different people work. I've never not liked anything she's ever written so far."
As for the Kaiser Chiefs' new album - which Xfm exclusively revealed Ronson was working on - the award winning producer revealed:
"I've just finished working on the Kaiser's new record. I'm a huge fan of theirs, they've written so many brilliant songs that they don't really need me, I need them more. It sounds amazing though, really amazing...you'll love it"
As to what Ronson reckons he'll be bringing to the album?
"Trumpets!" he laughed, "No, seriously I'll hopefully bring the energy of a giant fan, knowing what a Kaiser Chiefs fan would like...I've been helping with the arrangements and the songs and I guess being a sort of guru in the studio."
The Kaiser Chiefs are set to play a huge home gig at Leeds' Elland Road tomorrow night (May 24).
