Coldplay Comeback In Jeopardy

Coldplay's free Brixton Academy gig, scheduled next Monday (June 16), is apparantly under threat after it was claimed that singer Chris Martin injured his knee during rehearsal and is struggling to regain his health.
A report in the Sun newspaper claims that the Coldplay frontman twisted his knee during rehearsals for next Monday's free gig.
A source - who else? - close to the band told the newspaper that Chris Martin was in "absolute agony" but had vowed to "fight through the pain barrier" to meet his commitment to his fans. Which is just the kind of attitude that we've come to expect from a trooper like Martin. You go for it, Chris!
The gig will arrive just days after the release of Coldplay's new album, 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends', which is released today (June 12).
You can hear Chris Martin go through their new album track-by-track with Xfm's John Kennedy right here.
