Coldplay And Radiohead Make Up Grammy Nominations

Both British giants feature in the nominations for next year’s all-important Grammy Awards…
US rapper Lil’ Wayne heads up the most amount of nominations with eight nods, though soft rock masters Coldplay come next with seven.
The ‘Album of the Year’ category will see Chris Martin’s troupe’s ‘Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends’, Radiohead’s ‘In Rainbows’, Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter III’, Ne-Yo’s ‘Year Of The Gentleman’ and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’s ‘Raising Sand’ fight it out.
Plant and Coldplay also make up the nominees for ‘Record of the Year’, along with 2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis, soul star Adele and Hounslow diva M.I.A..
And the night’s final prize, ‘Song of the Year’, features Coldplay, Adele, Estelle, Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles and Kanye West in the running.
A no doubt rightfully overblown and lavish ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 8.
