Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis Working On Own TV Series

The RHCP frontman is focusing the show on his unconventional rock 'n' roll childhood, and has labelled it 'Scar Tissue'...

Kiedis has teamed up with production company Catapult 360 to work on the project for American cable channel HBO, so report Daily Variety.

The series will centre around the Kiedis frontman's relationship with his father, Spider, who allegedly sold drugs and mingled with rock stars, which the Chili Peppers' frontman admits was hard to digest.

"He introduced me to the arts, to a more culturally magnificent life. But some of it was this heavy, adult matter that I wasn't quite capable of digesting. It was a very rich but kind of challenging period of my life. I was thrust into this adult mentality by age 11."

Kiedis, who is considering narrating the TV series, was asked to work on the show after Catapult 360's Marc Abrams and Michael Benson read his autobiography, also named 'Scar Tissue'.

Abrams said: "To be able to look at a very famous figure and get an origin story, to see the pieces of the puzzle that put him on the path to fame - it became very clear that this was a special project."
