Biffy Clyro Finish Sixteen Songs For New Album

The Ayrshire rockers tell Xfm the follow-up to 'Puzzle' is "Classic Biffy". And it's "sounding absolutely brilliant"...
Speaking at last night's (November 12) Mencap Little Noise Sessions in London's Union Chapel, Biffy Clyro drummer Ben Johnston said the band have already finished up tens of tracks for the follow-up to 2007's 'Puzzle'.
He said: "The new stuff is sounding absolutely brilliant. We've spent the last couple months or so doing demos in a recording room we've got set up. In the past we'd always do an album every year, so it's been nice to be home and get new stuff ready.
"We're extremely excited, and know exactly where we want to go. 15 or 16 songs are done already... It's classic Biffy."
Johnston also reacted to the rumour that a passage within Union Chapel is haunted by a ghost, proclaiming the Biff' have little to worry about.
"We got told last time the place was haunted. If it is, the ghost must like us because we had a great time last year. We were really badly hungover, we thought it'd be the worst gig of our lives. We were really nervous, but I guess the ghosts here favour Biffy Clyro."

The Mencap Little Noise Sessions continue this week, and profits from the shows support people with learning difficulties. Still to play are Kasabian and Reverend And The Makers (14), Keane (15), and The Fratellis, Noah And The Whale and Ladyhawke (18).
