Babyshambles Make Live Return
Pete Doherty's first gig with Babyshambles since his prison release was last night (May 13) marred by violence as scuffles broke out amongst fans. Despite efforts by security to keep the stage free of invading fans, punters soon turned on each other.
Fans of Doherty - soberly attired in a suit and trilby - greeted the return of the singer with boisterous scenes. In turn, Doherty, referring to his recent stay at Her Majesty's leisure, thanked "everyone who wrote a letter last month".
However, as the evening progressed, fighting broke out amongst fans as they were prevented by security from invading the stage.
The mood, though, was largely celebratory with the biggets cheers saved for guest singer and Pogues frontman Shane McGowan who joined Babyshambles for a rendition of 'Dirty Old Town'.
Pete Doherty was released from prison last week after serving just 29 days of a 14-week prison sentence for regularly breaking the conditions of his probation order.

that did not happen people did jump on stage but no one was fighting thats just a lie.the babyshambles rocked that venue great night great perfomance. who ever wrote that stop lieing people like you just want to write bad things about pete.ask any fan about last night they will tell you great night
