Xfm Meets Kate Nash

After a mammoth year Harrow based starlet Kate Nash came in to talk exclusively to Xfm about being shortlisted for our New Music Award.

She of the exaggerated London accent and quirky lyrical style has experienced rocketing success after Lily Allen included her in her 'Top Friends' on music networking site myspace.

With a number one debut called 'Made Of Bricks' under her belt Kate Nash discusses the meaning behind well known tracks 'Foundations' and 'Pumpkin Soup' and tells us the reasons her music appeals to the masses.

How do you feel about being up for the Xfm New Music Award?

How did 'Foundations' come into being?

"I wrote it in my living room...it's about when humans get into routines and it's really safe and then it's hard to get out of them..." [Listen To Full Answer]

Why did you name the album 'Made Of Bricks'?

"It's how I feel about what I'm building...like the people who hang out with me and the bands I play with on tour, we're like the building blocks of something new..." [Listen To Full Answer]
