Xfm 10th Birthday Documentaries - Travis

Travis second album 'The Man Who' introduced a whole new sensitivity rock music and became one of the biggest albums of the '90s. The eighth of Xfm's 10th Birthday documentaries sees the band explain how it came about. Listen to it in full hear and download the podcast for free.
"The settled on the Brit Pop party in 1998 and the loosely connected main players eloped to avoid the comedown. Blur and Pulp found solace the introspection, Radiohead had set new artistic horizons and Oasis retreated back to their cave to lick their wounds.
But out of this, one record struck a chord with the music loving public more than any other. The band who made it had nearly been dismissed after their first album, but by 2001, one in eight UK households contained a copy of Travis’ second album, ‘The Man Who’"
As the subject of the eighth Xfm 10th Birthday Documentary is Travis' 1999 album 'The Man Who' which features brand new, all exclusive in depth interviews with the band - Fran Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop and Neil Primrose.
