X-clusive: Travis Play Intimate UK Tour

added 16 February 2007 at 15.53

Travis are returning to the stage for the first time since Live 8, to play three very special live dates around the UK brought to you by Xfm.

The three very intimate gigs will take place in March in specially chosen venues in London, their hometown of Glasgow and Warrington

This will be the first live dates for the double Brit winners since they played in London's Hyde Park for Live 8 in 2005.

Their fifth album, set to be released on May 7 is titled ‘The Boy With No Name’, an apparent nod to singer Fran Healey's son Clay who wasn't given a name until a few weeks after his birth.

This follow up to 2003's 12 Memories was produced by Nigel Godrich, who previously worked with the band on 'The Man Who' and 'The Invisible Band' as well as with Radiohead and Beck. It has been rumoured that Brian Eno (currently working with Coldplay) also worked on the record.

The album will be preceded by the release of their new single ‘Closer’ on April 23
