X-clusive: Kate Nash On That Offensive Heckle

added 14 September 2007 at 14.44

Kate Nash has been speaking X-clusively to Xfm about the abusive heckle she got on stage at Xfm's Tenth Birthday gig earlier this week.

Kate Nash played the gig at Barfly last Monday (September 10) as part of a series of gigs taking place to celebrate Xfm's Tenth Birthday this year.

During her set, which included her number one track 'Foundations' a heckler from the crowd shouted "Get Your Muff Out" at Nash during the quiet piano solo of 'Little Red'.

At the time Nash simply said "boo!" before continuing with her performance so Xfm spoke X-clusively to Nash to find out what she made of the incident.

"That guy shouted that out and I was like 'That's so lame, so crude, so old'. I was really surprised someone would say that, I was like 'God, do people still say that kind of thing?'

"But he was dealt with accordingly I think, he got a pint chucked over him."

The pint in questions was reportedly thrown (and missed) by her new boyfriend Ryan Jarman (The Cribs). And people say romance is dead.
