X-clusive: Injured Stereophonics Forced To Cancel Xfm Gig

Stereophonics have been forced to cancel their Xfm 10th Birthday Show at ULU this Saturday October 6, following frontman Kelly Jones' recent arm injury (but their Live From Leicester Square will still take place).
Xfm are sorry to have to bring you the news that the Sterophoninic's gig for Xfm's 10th Birthday will no longer take place, after frontman Kelly Jones was injured in an bounder-related incident just a few weeks ago.
An official statement from the record label reads,
"Kelly consulted a specialist at the end of last week and he was advised not to play guitar for a further three weeks.
"Kelly's determination to continue has meant that the band will still go into the Xfm studio this Friday to play three songs live on Ian Camfield's Drivetime show as part of his 'Live From Leicester Square'.
"The band are looking to re-schedule the 10th Birthday show at the nearest convenience to Xfm.
"Stereophonics very much regret having to cancel this show and are aware how disappointing this is for the fans who’ve already won tickets on Xfm and have been waiting a long time to see the band. Kelly is devastated at the timing of this and apologises to all the fans."
Kelly himself added,
"Due to troubles in a dark seedy club and being thrown onto the street resulting in surgery and pampering by lovely nurses I am afraid to report I cannot play Saturday's show and for that I am gutted. My arm will return to
full cannon force shortly and I will be back stronger than a bulldog trying to snap his chain. May your house be free from tigers. Bless you all. Kelly."
Tune into Drivetime this Friday from 4pm when Stereophonics will be Live From Leicester Square to hear more from the man himself and three live tracks from the band.
In other news the Welsh rocker's brand new single 'It Means Nothing' has hit the shops this week and the new album Pull The Pin will follow on October 15.
