X-clusive: Calvin Harris And Feeder Collaboration?

added 21 August 2007 at 16.56

In an X-clusive interview with Xfm Calvin Harris reveals that a Feeder collaboration may well be on the cards.

The '80s child who made disco acceptable in the 'noughties' has just released the third single 'Merrymaking At My Place' from his debut album 'I Created Disco'.

Speaking X-clusively to Xfm Harris described it as "A bit more of a laid back thing than the first two singles, which is good because I'm not all about the big hands in the air, dancey things.

"It is about house parties", he continued. "But I've actually never had one in my life because up until recently I've been living with my Mum and Dad and they're not a big fan of them. The idea isn't about going round to and trash someone's house. It's really just to have a nice civilised party with a few cups of tea and maybe a tea cake."

But as the Scottish singer revealed, production is where his heart really lies and the "Artist thing" is merely a stepping stone in that direction.

Having already worked with a wide range of artists including most famously Kylie, and most recently The Mitchell Brothers Harris revealed there may well be a whole host of other unusual collaborations on the horizon.

"People are coming and telling me that totally random people want to work with me. I just think 'Amazing, alright!'. It's things I would never have dreamed of.

"Feeder said the other week that they wanted to work with me, he continued, "And I was like 'Amazing, bring it on!' The more random the better. If you can go from The Mitchell Brothers to Feeder it's not a bad thing."
