The Wombats, One Night Only and The Courteneers Join Mencap Gigs
The Wombats, One Night Only and The Courteneers join Snow Patrol, We Are Scientists, The Enemy and Keane for a series of eight incredibly intimate London charity gigs.
The Little Noise Sessions - which all take place from November 20 to 28 at Islington's Union Chapel - will raise money and awareness for Mencap, one of the UK's leading learning disability charities.
The Wombats, One Night Only, The Courteneers, Duffy, David Jordan and Cass Lowe are the latest to join the extravaganza, with eight consectuctive headline performances from Jack Penate, Athlete, Will Young, Biffy Clyro, The Kooks, Snow Patrol, Kate Nash, The Enemy and Keane.
Other supporting acts include The Kooks, We Are Scientists, Scouting For Girls, The Hoosiers, Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong, Young Knives and The Pigeon Detectives.
Babyshambles pulled out last week after it emerged that Pete Doherty had once again fallen off the wagon and wa intending to return to rehab.
The gigs are a rare opportunity to see some huge acts perform in such intimate surroundings, with a maximum capacity of 600 people with more acts to be announced shortly.
Last year's sessions included performances from Noel Gallagher, Amy Winehouse, The Kooks and Lily Allen.
Those wanting tickets (to the shows which haven't sold out) have to register online at mencapmusic.org.uk before midday this Friday (October 19).
All registrants can then buy tickets costing £35 online on a first-come first-served basis from 9am on Monday October 22.
