"Utter garbage" or "A masterpiece"? We're asking you to review the new Radiohead album 'In Rainbows' for Xfm... And you have been. Read them here.

After playing the album out in full in a world exclusive broadcast today (have we mentioned that enough already?) we've been asking you, the Xfm listeners, to review the album for us. And here's what you said.

Xfm Listener Reviews

“If I had to rate ‘In Rainbows’, I’d give it 9 (out of 10 – ‘Ok Computer’ is 10!!) Amazing, fantastic, terrific and so on Videotape is the best song f the record. Just perfect…” Altamiro Silva

"’In Rainbows’ is brimming with sublime melodies and anarcho-primitivist pathos. A pre-post modern classic imbued with the criminal teachings of Neil young and Immanuel Kant. And I haven't even listened to it yet. Quite frankly, the best 26p I’ve spent all year.” - Paul Goodwin

“Beautiful lyrics, great song writing, vocals and haunting melodies.  No good Radiohead fan should ever compare their albums. Thanks Radiohead, you've made my year! Keep it up!“ Gideon Hewitt

“Absolutely love it!!! But I don’t know why so little people have pick up on the fact Videotape is quite possibly one of the most lovely songs ever wrote, defiantly has the pyramid song effect to it. The album is the perfect mix of old rockin Radiohead and new experimental Radiohead and it works very, very well!!” - Jamie Doyle

“F**kin superb!!!!!” - Dave Metcalf

“I love it and it gets better with every listening. I paid for my portion and for a few slackers out there who think that you should get stuff for free. These guys have musical genius and they will be remembered long after we've all gone. Bravo!” - Brenda Smith Johnson

"Radiohead have rediscovered their knack for melody and, though you couldn't fault the last three albums for challenging experimentation, this one sets a new bar for accessible and yet beautifully alternative music. Oh, and Thom's learnt how to smile again, conjuring up witty and often warm lyrics like no one else." Sachin Patel

"If i had to rate it out of 10 i'd give it a 6. I think it was ok, but so far nothing Radiohead has brought out since 'OK Computer' has really rocked my boat." - Jess Graham

"Excellent, sends shivers down the spine just to hear the Great Ones again! Great guitar work and as always great lyrics from Thom, can't wait for them to tour." - Dave Wood

"I've listened to it three times now and although I didn't really get in to it at first, it's definitely growing on me. I think it's very drum and bassy. I love Radiohead and think they are the best band of our generation. Better than Oasis or any other band around when they broke through." Kevros Morris

“Beautiful. Like any decent album it takes a few listens before it really grabs you by the nuts - but once it does, you're lost for words. Cheers boys... just don't leave it so long next time!” Jon Keysell

“Cracking stuff, made even better by paying 0p for it! lovely! I figure they owe me for buying Kid A!” Scott Cavanagh

“Will someone please s**t down their throats 'cause they've just s**t in my ears! Sounds like they've just got hold of their first Casio keyboard and discovered the helicopter sound effect. This is the umpteenth album now down this route - they need to go back to classic songwriting, its just not catchy nor listenable. Like listening to Sarah Greene and Gordon the Gopher playing in a band together, its RUBBISH - WAKE UP TOM YOU'RE A ***!” - Ben Reece

“Great stuff! Their best since The Bends (I'm really not into OK Computer). I'm definitely getting the discbox :) As for the price thing: I don't think anybody should pay a high price for an MP3 download, so I paid £2.00 for it - after all, the sound quality isn't exactly the best, there's no artwork included and I had to burn my own CD-R. The hard copy is a whole different story, though, and I'll gladly pay the £40 they're asking for, which sounds a fair price for the product. Too bad we'll have to wait till December, but it'll be a wonderful Christmas present!” Renato Accioly

“To all the numpty-halfwitted-music haters who don't get this album, go buy a Steps CD if you want something 'happy'.  This new album is great. Nuff said.” Ifan Gwyn

“Aaaahhhh. Please make it stop. Total self indulgent tossers. Ruined my good mood yesterday.” Steven Hodgson

"This takes me back to when I was eighteen and 'The Bends' was being blasted out where ever you went in Vail Colorado whilst there skiing, really happy days. 'High and Dry'up there with 'Creep' but then they went a bit wierd. This is definately more like it, loving a wicked return to form!" - Chris Dyer

"In two words... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! In one word... GORGEOUS! This is pure perfection!" - Lee Hockney

"Maybe not a masterpiece, but definitely a solid, good album, even for their stellar standards" - Giannis Mavrogiorgos

"Total crap apart from the last couple of tracks which were OK, deffo not worth the wait - stinks of narcissism" - Gary Beal

"I'd rather rub chilli oil on ma nuts than listen to that crap wheres Harold Shipman when u need him Radiohead are mince. I cant take to that, we're at work for ten hours and that is making it feel like twenty. We're surrounded by knives, a meat slicer and a main road... Play something happy please. Ta." Anon

"Dear Xfm. Its a lovely sunny day but your exclusive Radiohead session is forcing me to stay away from open windows and stop myself using my shoelaces for a tie. Tears of laughter :'-D" - Anon

"I am on my sixth listening already! I always take my time to listen to Radiohead material as sometimes the first listen is not enough to take it all in - by god this is just such a truly beautiful album by true true musical geniuses!  Favourites so far are 'All I Need', 'Nude' and 'Weird Fishes'. Thanks guys for allowing us to put your trust in us to pay what we feel - I was not stingey as you deserve your just rewards! XX Soooo worth the wait." - Rachel Milne

"First listen I was disappointed but a real grower not quite 'Ok Computer' though quite scary!" Richard Martin

"This album is AMAZING. GIVES ME SHIVERS. 10/10" - Mark Johnson

"Decent enough, though I feel that some of the songs I've heard somewhere before. I opted to give £5, but due to a few problems with the order process, eventually dropped it to £4. Worth that much, but I'll probably only listen to it a few times. B+, can do better" - David Pursehouse

"Carrying on from their latter work. Some fantastic bits and really beautiful songs, although lets face it, no 'OK Computer'! Great to have them back though!" - Joe  Mercer

"Phil, Ed, Colin, Jonny, Thom - Thank you so much for this masterpiece. 'Videotape' especially is stunning and makes me want to drown myself in my own tears. Can't wait for the discbox and for the bonus album. You are the best thing that ever happened to me." - Roee Gothelf

"I think you have to listen to it a few times as it will grow on you and you'll love. Like 'Ok Computer'. Can't wait to get a copy. It'll be one i'll be listening to a lot, but people should pay a good a amount for it and not thing to get it for nothing as Radiohead have put a lot of work into it." - Belinda Docherty

"Certainly better than 'Hail to the Thief', I think this album will grow with every listen. This seems like a step towards a fuller, more mature Radiohead, leaving the irritating handclaps behind. Is this their most accessible album to date?" - Chris Dashwood

"Four years of waiting and finally the best band in the world return... and they don't disappoint. It took my face off at the first listen and the songs are bound to possess the usual Radiohead quality of getting better and more beautiful with every play." - Nick Walter

"The production really brings out the quality of the song writing.  everyone who complains about the lack of structure and melody in Radiohead songs like those on kid a  can stuff it, because these songs have absolutely brilliant melodies, and they're put front and centre. As of right now, on my third listen, I think it's their best work (ever). This is the Radiohead album I'll come back to most. Plus, I don't think anyone has ever married classical and dance with such success before." Mr Josh

"Incredible. 'Videotape' is the perfect closer for it." - Adam Grey

"Complete and utter garbage. No wonder they're not charging for the download. Ideas above their creative station and a failure. Next band please." - Mike Tomlinson

"Instantly BLOWN AWAY! Its been a long time coming and its evident what they've been doing. Every track so far is an absolute winner (8 tracks in!). I've already bought it - paid a fiver (students eh!). Its like welcoming back a lover!" - Julie Penman

"In parts beautiful, moving and sweeping." - Ian Youngs

"Can someone wake me up out of this coma - my God how boring!  I am sorry Radiohead - if you are suppose to be taking us on some kind of journey - the only trip I feel like taking is one in the opposite direction this dribble is being played! Come on boys - it ain't clever! Get over yourselves." - Tammy Van Den Broek

"In Rainbows is a complex, immersive and beautiful record. Definitely worth the wait, you can tell why this took so long to make, it sounds like every note has been specifically and painstakingly arranged, produced and layered in order to make each song as good as it can possibly be. Jonny's string arrangements and Thom's voice sound the best they ever have. Highlights are 'Nude' which is utterly beautiful and 'All I Need', which is epic. It will take a few more listens to bed in I'm sure, but it already sounds fantastic and is improving on each listen. With this album they have once again raised the bar creatively and musically and it has paid off. life is too short to not love Radiohead." - David Moon

"Love it" - Ravi Panesar

"Listening on Xfm now - I think we're about halfway through? The last song played, Faust Arp was bloody awesome. Really loving this album so far" - James Baker

"Absolute BILGEWATER. The ads are more inspiring... please put some decent music and stop wasting my time. It might be ok after a very heavy night out when you need something to go to sleep to. It's just electronic musing/drone. The songs go no where and have no life or drive in them.” Steve Taylor

"At the 5th track I'm already smashed with album quality. Thank you Xfm for the opportunity and great moment. Thank you Radiohead for giving us the best of you once again” - Sergio Lopes

"This album is a masterpiece. A band at the height of its powers!” - Andy Holmes

"Great album. It was worth the wait” - Hamad Sharif
