Mayhem At Gallows Album Launch

The launch for Gallows debut album 'Orchestra Of Wolves' created chaos on the River Thames after frontman Frank Carter smashed up a guitar worth several thousand pounds.
The band first played a free instore gig at Virgin Megastores in Oxford Street, which they told the crowd would be their "First and last signing 'cos you're all a bunch of f*cking c*nts".
Following an incendiary half-hour set lead singer Frank Carter jumped down and grabbed a nearby guitar - on sale for £2,000 in the store - and preceded to smash it into smithereens on the stage, chucking the remnants out into the crowd.
The shenanigans then moved to the River Thames where the official launch party was taking place aboard a moored boat - reminiscent of fellow punk's Sex Pistol's legendary Silver Jubilee show almost 30 years ago to the day.
Opening with an explosive performance of their new single 'Abandon Ship' Carter attempted to crowd surf to the back of the sweaty room but the ceiling was too low and he ended up simply punching the ceiling repetitively, branding the venue "F*cking ridiculous".
The mood was explosive and the performance typically powerful, with notable moments including their rendition of Black Flag's 'Nervous Breakdown '.
Several stage invasions later and Gallows ended with 'Orchestra Of Wolves' which they dedicated to fellow punks The Scare who'd come down to help their friends celebrate.
Gallows are set to play Download Festival this weekend, following another riotous gig in London's Barfly last night (June 6).
