Good Shoes Live On Music: Response
Following a dazzling headline show at the recent Xfm All Dayer, Good Shoes bring their jerky guitar-pop to Music Response.
Good Shoes are Rhys Jones (vocals/ guitar), Steve Leach (guitar), Joel Cox (bass guitar) and Tom Jones, (drums); four friends from Morden who went from jamming in a garden shed to playing sell-out venues across the UK.
Following a series of frenzied gigs around London at pokey venues and gonzo club nights, Good Shoes’ hand-drawn demo landed in the hands of our very own John Kennedy. Successive plays on X-Posure followed suit and this combined with rising media attention catapulted the band into the spotlight.
The sound of Good Shoes is truly unique: melodic, jangly guitars combine with clipped, monotone vocals that speak of endless summer days, folly and bittersweet experiences.
