Bloc Party To Play Brixton Academy

Following a storming XFM Live Session at the Mean Fiddler last month, Bloc Party have released new UK dates for their tour in support of latest album, 'A Weekend In The City'.
Whilst extensive world tour dates had already been confirmed, the band have now added six new live dates in the UK, including two nights at the Brixton Academy on April 19 and 20.
The tour, supporting the band’s latest release ‘A Weekend In The City’, stretches across three months and includes a date at Austin’s SXSW festival in March.
The band are also planning a special Valentine's instore gig and signing at Manchester’s Virgin Megastore, followed by a full gig at Manchester’s Academy later that night.
Wristbands for the instore gig are currently available on a first come first served basis from the shop, which is located at the Arndale Centre, Manchester.
Tickets for all the April shows go on-sale at 9am this Friday February 16 and will be available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket. Shop by clicking here.
The new April UK tour dates are as follows:
- Academy, Glasgow (April 14)
- Civic, Wolverhampton (15)
- Pavilions, Plymouth (16)
- Empress Ballroom, Blackpool (18)
- Brixton Academy, London (19)
- Brixton Academy, London (20)
