That's right! The definitive list of The Greatest Indie Anthems Ever is finally here, and we're treating you to all the classics in a Bank Holiday special this Monday.

Xfm and NME have spent all year asking every band, muso, music fan (that's you lot) and industry head we've had the pleasure to come across what the all time greatest indie anthems are.

And - as published in the NME this week  - the absolute, no questions asked, ultimate, definitive top 50 list has finally been compiled.

This Monday from 2pm until 4pm Xfm's Graeme Smith will be presenting a Bank Holiday Special dedicated to playing you as may of the top contenders as we can physically cram into the two hour show.

Unsurprisingly the rundown is dominated by some classic favourites from Pixies, The Smiths, Stone Roses, The Libertines, Radiohead and Oasis  - who stormed into the top spot with 'Live Forever').

But there are plenty of new contenders as well with The Cribs, Klaxons, Arctic Monkeys, Gossip, Arcade Fire and Kasabian all featuring.

Do you agree with the list? Notice any glaring omissions? Want to rant about it? Email us here.
