Jarvis Cocker Podcasts & London Show
Following on from posting his first solo material up on MySpace, former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker is releasing a series of short story podcasts and has announced his first solo London show.
The video for Jarvis Cocker's new song ‘Running The World’ was premiered at the Reading and Leeds Festivals last weekend, providing the crowd a chance to sing along with its distinctly un-radio friendly chorus refrain of “C**ts are still running the world” with great gusto.
But this is only the start of a whole world of Jarv-related action over the coming months. As well as posting this brand new track, Jarvis is also releasing a series of short story readings, available as podcasts. The singer will be delving into his collection of favourite books for these and the first two of which are available now by clicking here.
What's more, episode 3 of the podcasts will go up later today (August 29).
As well as being up at myspace.com/jarvspace ‘Running The World’ is now available as a limited edition download on iTunes and details of a limited edition 7” vinyl will be announced very soon.
In addition Xfm are proud to announce that Jarvis has also announced details of a special one-off lice date at KOKO in Camden, London on Wednesday November 15.
