X-clusive: Garbage Reveal UK Tour

added 05 July 2005 at 19.03

Following their sold-out Brixton Academy show and storming Glastonbury and Download festival performances, Garbage return to the UK to play some alltogether more intimate gigs this autumn. And Xfm has all the details.

So far, 2005 has been something of a renaissance year for Garbage their long-delayed fourth album, ‘Bleed Like  Me’, emerged - amidst rumours of the band's imminent split - to rave review from critics and fans alike.

Similarly, their show at Brixton Academy in June alongside their Glastonbury and Download Festival performances proved that they could still cut it live with the biggest names on the bill.

Now, to hammer a point home, Shirley Manson, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker are back to play the intimate (for them) Carling Apollo Hammersmith in London on Monday October 17.

The date will form part of a full UK headlining seven date tour for the band, which includes shows in ManchesterBirmingham and Glasgow.

Tickets will be going on-sale at 9am this Friday (July 8) and will be available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here.

Garbages full UK tour dates are:

  • Apollo, Manchester (October 12)
  • Cardiff Arena (14)
  • Guildhall, Portsmouth (16)
  • Hammersmith Apollo, London (17)
  • NIA, Birmingham (20
  • Academy, Glasgow (22)
  • Usher Hall, Edinburgh (23)
