X-clusive: Foo Fighters UK Tour - UPDATE
Well, we knew it was going to happen. In fact, we warned you that it was going to happen. And now it’s happening. The Foo Fighters are playing a UK tour. And we have the details. Oh yes we do.
Let’s cut to the chase. The Foo Fighters are playing a huge show (their biggest headlining UK show to date) at Earls Court in West London on Saturday December 17.
Whallop.
In addition, three more dates have just been announced at the Birmingham NEC, Glasgow SECC and Manchester MEN. What's more one of Dave Grohls' favourite bands The Futureheads and Josh Homme's side outfit Eagles Of Death Metal have been confirmed as special guests.
Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday (August 12) and are available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here.
Speaking earlier this year Dave Grohl explained that he intended to tour the Foos’ recent double album ‘In Your Honour’ in two parts. Playing the electric hard rock half of the album at arenas and appearing at smaller more intimate club dates in the same city the night before to play the acoustic part of the record. Whether this London date will be accompanied by such a twin show is as yet unknown,
A full Foo Fighters headlining tour is expected to be announced in the coming days.
The band will also be headlining the Carling Reading and Leeds Weekender Festival and are joining Razorlight when they supporting Oasis at their Noise & Confusion concert at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
