Put Your Dukes Up: Shed Seven Return

added 27 September 2005 at 10.52

It’s two years since members of the Xfm office, ahem, shed a small tear as Shed Seven called it a day. However, mainman Rick Witter has announced he’ll be hitting the road again at the helm of a new outfit, Rick Witter And The Dukes…

The former Shed Seven frontman will play a handful of Scotland only (?) dates in the next fortnight under the new moniker, Rick Witter And The Dukes.

Despite releasing an album through their website earlier this year, Shed Seven split up two years ago. However, reports suggest that the new Dukes shows will feature a mixture of new material and some of his old band’s hits.

Rick Witter And The The Dukes feature Rick Witter (well, duh), Rob Wilson on guitar, Stuart Fletcher (The Yards and ex-Seahorses) on bass, and Matt Lunn (ex-Colour of Fire) on drums.

The dates are as follows:

  • Ullapool, Village Hall (October 1)
  • Aberdeen, Café Drummonds (2)
  • Inverness, Raigmore Hotel (4)
  • Glasgow, King Tuts (6)
  • Dundee, Fat Sams (7)
  • Edinburgh, Cabaret Voltaire (8)
