Oasis Confirm 2005 Festival Dates

With the band’s sixth studio album expected in 2005, Oasis have confirmed they are to air the new songs in public at two German festivals this summer.
The album, which Noel has described as his favourite of the last four Oasis long-players, is currently set for release on May 16 and German fans will be some of the first to hear the new material live as the band play two festival dates this Summer.
The band will be playing the Hurricane and Southside festivals which take place on the weekend of June 10-12. Oasis are due to play Hurricane on Friday 10 June, and Southside on Saturday 11 June. Other bands confirmed for the festivals include Audioslave, Rammstein and Die Äerzte.
Tickets are on sale now and more information is available as follows:

As previously reported, the new, as-yet-untitled 12 track album is scheduled to hit shops on May 16 and for the first time features songwriting contributions from both Noel and Liam Gallagher as well as guitarist Gem Archer and bass player Andy Bell.
"The finished album is my favourite one of the last four,” Gallagher explained to the BBC, “Because we're all contributing to the songwriting there's a different feel to it. In fact the only songs that sound like Oasis are Andy Bell's funnily enough.
"I've been listening to a lot of Bob Dylan last year, Liam was obviously some guy who used to be in a band in Liverpool, Gem's a very rock and roll, but not in a Jet way if you know what I mean. Andy's just sound like Oasis, which is great."
Oasis are heading out on a full UK tour later this year and according to Noel have "bagged some magnificent support bands" for the jaunt.
