Matt Lucas In New Ben Folds Video

'Little Britain' star Matt Lucas has made a very special appearance on the new Ben Folds video for his track ‘Jesusland’ as an extremely dubious looking American televangelist.

Lucas appears in the new video for the song ‘Jesusland’ taken from Folds' ‘Songs For Silverman’ album. In the promo Lucas is seen wearing a gloriously false looking wig playing the role of Jimmy Swaggert-style television evangelist Rev Lukas Clearheart.

While Folds performs the song alongside images of the more run down areas of the Midwest of America, we see Lucas preaching on a religious broadcast show ‘The Miracle Report’ where he’s seen peddling ‘Miracle Water’ which promises ‘Miracles Guaranteed’ for anyone who buys it.

The video culminates in Lucas singing along with Folds and variously playing the tambourine, an electric guitar and finally a pair of bongos (though sadly for any George Dawes fans, not a drumkit).

Lucas has been a long time and very public fan of Ben Folds' music, once interviewing him in NME and often name-checking him in various magazine articles.

‘Jesusland’ will be availible as a download only single on October 3, while the next single release proper from Ben Folds will be 'Late' which hits shops on October 10.
