Little Barrie 'Xfm Session' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]

London trio Little Barrie released their debut EP in December and their first album ‘We Are Little Barrie’ is out now. Both were produced by Edwyn Collins (‘A Girl Like You’) the latter being recorded over the course of 23 afternoons with Edwyn himself featuring on a couple of the songs. Other facts: Johnny Marr is hoping to work with them, Morrissey called them up at the last minute when his guitarist got sick and the lead singer is actually called Barrie. And he's little.

Sweetly rich session opener 'Free Salute' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] incorporates acid-jazz arrangements and captivating choruses while on  'Please Tell Me' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]  they’ve taken on a rootsy blues style and dropped a smattering of rock in to the mix.

Closing with energetic vocals setting off the bluesy guitars of 'Long Hair' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] perfectly, Little Barrie prove it's all about the  groove.
