Keane Join Cardiff Tsunami Relief Line-Up

Organisers have confirmed that Keane and Craig David are among the latest acts to be added to the Tsunami Aid line-up at The Millennium Stadium on January 22. All 60,000 tickets have now been sold, although more may be made available soon.

Keane, Craig David, Charlotte Church, Liberty X and former M People singer Heather Small have been added to the bill for the sold-out tsunami benefit gig in Cardiff on January 22. The Tsunami Relief Aid concert is set to take place at the Millenium Stadium with tickets for the event selling out in just 3 days.

The current line-up for the concert also includes Eric Clapton, Manic Street Preachers, Badly Drawn Boy, Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Snow Patrol, Embrace, Feeder, Lemar, Aled Jones and Katherine Jenkins with more acts set to be confirmed.

Stadium manager Paul Sergeant said, "So far we have 17 acts and it promises to be a fantastic seven hours of music. We have received thousands of emails and calls offering help. At the moment we can't even respond to all those who have contacted us. We will get back to everyone but it will take a while. We have now reached saturation point and have satisfied the majority of our requirements. If we do find we need anything else we will make an appeal."

While tickets are currently sold out, stadium bosses are working on ways to fit yet more people into the venue and have hinted that there may be more tickets on sale in the coming days.

Millennium Stadium General Manager Paul Sergeant said, “We have been bowled over by the incredible response we have had for this event from which all profits will go to the Tsunami Relief Fund. We are now looking at the production details and hopefully we will be able to release more tickets in the next few days."

It is anticipated that the event will run from around 2.00pm until 10.30pm.

Any remaining tickets are priced at £30, £22.50 and £15. If more tickets are released they will be available on 08705 582 582 or at www.ticketmaster.co.uk (Ticketmaster will not be charging a booking fee) with all proceeds going to aid the victims of the tsunami disaster.
