Gorillaz Launch Online Store

The all-new interactive Gorillaz online emporium is now open for business offering everything from music, with exclusive T-shirts, limited edition prints, sticker and badge sets and mobile downloads.
Hot on the heels of the news of a five-date residency at the Manchester Opera House, Gorillaz have launched a brand new virtual shop. Fans can move around the room, rifling through the clothing rails and browsing the goods on the shelves.
The band have also announced that many of the products will not be available to buy anywhere else with mailing list subscribers set to be emailed about new and exclusive offers.
The band’s shop is the first tenant of a new rent-a-room scheme, which allows outside individuals, brands and organisations to lease a room at ‘Kong Studios’ and inhabit their own space within gorillaz.com. Apparently we should watch this space for more announcements in the near future…
One would assume that a Graham Coxon futuristic online animated craziness room is somewhat unlikely…
In other news, the animated four-piece have announced the ticket details for their forthcoming Manchester dates. As previously reported, the band will be playing the whole of the their recent three million selling album ‘Demon Days’ on five consecutive nights at the 2000-capacity Manchester Opera House from November 1 to 5.
Ticket will go on sale at 10am on Monday 3 October and will be available online from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, from a 24 hour ticket hotline on 0871 230 1888 or in person at the Palace Theatre Box Office, Oxford Street, Manchester.
Tickets are limited to 4 per person and are priced at £38, £34, £28, £18 and £12.
