Caesars: "We Love iPods!"

added 13 April 2005 at 15.38

With their two year-old-hit 'Jerk It Out' rejuvenated by its inclusion in the advert for a certain MP3 player, Swedish pop/punk foursome Caesars were in exuberant mood as they hit Music: Response. Hear the session and interview here.

They'll be new faces to many, but before Steve Jobs propelled 'Jerk it Out' to 'Bohemian Like You'-levels of success, Caesars were just another hard working Scandinavian band carving their niche in ythe pop/punk rock face.

Now with album number four - the pluckily-titled 'Paper Tigers' - out next month, the band came by Music: Response to play live and talk with Ian Camfield about being the new band on the block all over again, being two years ahead of their time and, of course, that televisual commercial [listen].

Caesars 'Jerk It Out' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]
You can see why Apple picked it; staccato, stylised vocals and a tumbling keyboard riff explode into one of the most infectious choruses ever to flog over designed electronics.

Caesars 'Kick You Out' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]
It may reveal a certain poverty of imagination when it comes to titles (they also have one called 'Sort It Out'), but this celebratory ode to the joys of cutting loose the hellspawn bitch in your life makes up for it with some cool hooks and a big Vegas ending.

Caesars 'We Got To Leave' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] Exclusive Online Track!
From the forthcoming 'Paper Tigers' album, this has the trademark Caesars keyboards barelling along like vaudeville never died.
