Busting Out With Fightstar
It'll doubtless surprise, even dismay, many - but Charlie-out-of-Busted's new band Fightstar do the de-tuned grind thing pretty damn well. Check them out live in session and interview.
It's one of the fundamental truths we cling to in this crazy, crazy world; 'serious' rock acts formed by ex-boyband members will suck harder than Jordan's vacuum cleaner. So when you first heard that Charlie-out-of-Busted was quitting to take the helm of proto-grunge outfit Fightstar, you could have been forgiven for thinking something along the lines of 'Ha ha ha - he'll fall flat on his arse the bushy eyebrowed twat.'
Time makes fools of us all however, and far from being the try hard embarrassment that we were all expecting, Fightstar in general and Charlie-out-of-Busted in particular have established sufficient Proper Music credentials to make us look forward to Bradley-out-of-S-Club's own rock outfit with bated breath.
