Basement Jaxx Release New Single And ‘Best Of’

added 18 January 2005 at 14.18

Basement Jaxx have confirmed they will be releasing a new single in March to mark the release of a career-spanning singles collection. But you don’t have to wait until then to get your hands on the album's lead track as its available now on limited release.

Its five years since Basement Jaxx leapt onto the mainstream house music scene with their debut album ‘Remedy’. Since then, the duo of Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton have released three floor-filling albums and have
decided the time is right for a singles collection.

The astonishingly origanlly entitled ‘Singles’ pulls together all of the band's A-sides alongside the requisite two new tracks ‘U Don’t Know Me’ (featuring long-time collaborator Lisa Kekaula of The Bellrays) and the lead single, ‘Oh My Gosh’ featuring Vula Malinga.

‘Singles’ will hit shops on March 28 through XL Recordings, with ‘Oh My Gosh’ available a fortnight earlier on March 14.

However, there are currently some white label 12”s doing the rounds featuring the original Club Mix of the track and two Jaxx dubs. The album will also be available in limited edition format with a second disc of B-Sides, live tracks and rarities.

The tracklisting for both discs is as follows:
