X-clusive: Placebo Play Biggest Ever UK Concert

To celebrate the release of their first ever 'Best Of' collection, entitled ‘Once More With Feeling 1996-2004’, Placebo will be playing a huge date at Wembley Arena in November.
Having previously sold out three nights at Brixton Academy last March, Placebo will now be undertaking their biggest ever UK live headlining concert when they play Wembley Arena on November 5.
This has been arranged to celebrate the release of their forthcoming singles collection 'Once More With Feeling: Singles, 1996-2004', and while it will be the Placebo’s last UK show until 2006, it's promised the show will centring around the bands 16 singles to-date with some "very special surprises" promise on the night..
Tickets for the gig are priced at £20 and go on general sale on Monday 23 August. They're available from Wembley Arena 0870 060 0870, See 0207 403 3331 and Stargreen 0207 734 8932 or online at www.gigsandtours.com.
‘Once More With Feeling’ will bring together all the singles the band has released over the past eight years from their four albums to date: 1996’s ‘Placebo’, 1998’s ‘Without You I'm Nothing’, 2000’s ‘Black Market Music’ and 2000’s ‘Sleeping With Ghosts’.
The compilation will also feature two brand new, previously unreleased tracks 'I Do' and '20 Years', one of which will be released as a single on October 4. According to the band, 'I Do' is also Placebo’s first happy, unashamed love song. “I’ve been threatening to do it for years and we’ve finally done it”, frontman Brian Molko explained, before describing '20 Years' as “Pure epic melancholy, a rumination on the passing of time and mortality…. But it’s not miserable!”
Placebo will also play the Carling Reading and Leeds Weekender Festival on August 29 and 27 respectively.
‘Once More With Feeling’ will be released on October 18 on Virgin Records. The full tracklisting is:
