X-clusive: New Idlewild Album Incoming

Scots rockers Idlewild have confirmed that they will be kicking off 2005 with both a new album and new single set for February 2005. The releases are the first since 2002’s ‘The Remote Part’ and Xfm has all the details.
Idlewild will release the follow-up album to 'The Remote Part' entitled 'Warnings/Promises' on March 7 2005. The album will be preceded by a new single called 'Love Steals Us From Loneliness' that will be hitting the shops on February 21.
A message on the band’s website explains that they spent Halloween in the United States before finally confirming the record’s completion.
“New York City on the night of Halloween,” the message reads, “High fiving and dressed up as Frankenstein. A spaghetti dinner with whiskey sours and a walk around the Lower East Side the next morning blasting the record from headphones. One final check and our fifth album is finally finished.
“The men of Idlewild set a smile half proud, half relieved. Always happy.”
The band have also confirmed that there will be live dates to follow the release of the as yet untitled new record, saying, “Look out for some UK acoustic shows in January, followed by a US/UK tour around the record's release at the beginning of March 2005.”
Keep checking Xfm Online for up to the minute news about live dates and the new record as it emerges.
