X-clusive: Jet Play New London Date

In advance of their biggest ever headlining UK show taking place at the Kentish Town Forum in London, bedraggled Aussie rockers Jet have announced an exclusive one off, low key Xfm Live Session at the Islington Academy in March.
The band will be playing a special gig for Xfm at the London Islington Carling Academy on Monday March 8. Support comes from Glitteratti.
Tickets for the gig aren’t available through usual outlets but if you click here you can find details of how to win tickets, or keep tuning in to 104.9 Xfm.
As previously reported, Jet have already started work on a new record, with constant touring and falling out with each other contributing to a more laid-back sound.
“A lot of it’s very country.” Jet’s Chris Cester explained to Xfm Online, “We wrote a lot of the record on the back of the bus this year. We had time split up in our own corners of the bus just to work separately, so it’s gonna be even more schizophrenic than our last record. We haven’t been talking much, but hopefully we’ll come together and put it all together in December.
“Is it a country a western album? Well, becoming friends with The Sleepy Jackson and listening to the Beach Boys has really affected our sound. In three months time it might sound completely different again.”
Jet’s new single ‘Look What You’ve Done’ is out on March 8.
The Islington Academy gig forms part of a tour venues Jet have announced across Europe. The full dates are:
