Travis Star Fran Loses Temper

. According to reports, Travis singer Fran Healy threw what’s being referred to as a “foul-mouthed tantrum” when fans refused to shut up and listen to him. While on a happier note the band are preparing a new DVD release.
According to the Daily Record, toward the end of their gig at the Cardiff International Arena earlier this week (March 22) the band left the stage leaving Healy to perform a solo acoustic version of their single ‘Flowers in the Window’.
However, he didn't use any amplification in the massive auditorium and people started complaining they could not hear. Getting irate, the singer then told the restless crowd: 'This will only work if you all shut up.”
Which didn’t go down too well.
One enraged fan called for him to get on with the show, to which Fran responded “There's always one” before shouting ‘obscenities’ at the crowd.
At that point another fan then started throwing coins on stage as if Healy was a busker, to which the frontman responded by shouting, “You could have had my eye out with that. Have some respect.” Before telling the other concert-goers, “If he's standing next to you, turn around and gob on him.”
Audience member Darren Morris, 24, from Cardiff was reported as saying, “The show was fantastic until Healy started behaving like a spoiled child. It was a shame his stupid antics ruined a good night”
Elsewhere a DVD of Travis' December 20 show at Alexandra Palace, entitled 'Travis At The Palace' is due to be released in May.
The sold out show took place in front of a crowd of over 8000 people and the set included the singles ‘Re-Offender’, ‘The Beautiful Occupation’ and ‘Love Will Come Through’ as well as all the hits from ‘The Invisible Band’, ‘The Man Who’ and ‘Good Feeling’ and the DVD will also include exclusive sound-check and backstage footage.
