The Rolling Stones To Play Wembley?

According to reports, The Rolling Stones are set to undertake yet another world tour in 2006, and are planning to be the very first band to play the new Wembley Stadium when it opens.
Tabloid reports state that the band will be hitting the road again in 2006 (only two year after their two-year-long ‘Greatest Licks’ world tour) and are planning on being the first band to play the new £750 million Wembley Stadium in North London.
"The Stones are determined to tour again in 2006,” a source told The Sun, "They will warm up in Toronto and have their homecoming at Wembley. It has been planned so they will be the first band to play at the new stadium.
"In front of 90,000 people the noise will be deafening. It will be such a special experience for the fans and the band. Their last tour was to celebrate 40 years together and they enjoyed it so much they all feel they have another left in them.
"People might joke about them being wrinkly old blokes but they are still one of the best - if not the best - rock 'n' roll group out there.” The source continued in that unlikely way that these quotes always do, "The atmosphere will be electric and Mick and the boys can't wait."
Elsewhere, The Stones are releasing their 1968 television programme 'Rock And Roll Circus' on DVD, in 5.1 Surround Sound on October 12. The rarely seen show features performances from The Stones, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, The Who, Marianne Faithfull, Taj Mahal and Jethro Tull.
