The Ordinary Boys Announce UK Tour

added 10 December 2004 at 11.10

Following the sacking of their drummer Charles Stanley, The Ordinary Boys have announced details of a huge UK headlining tour including some of their biggest ever live shows to date.

During 2004 The Ordinary Boys played numerous UK dates or ever-increasing sizes, supported Morrissey, toured Japan twice (where their debut album ‘Over The Counter Culture’ went to Number 1) and fired their drummer.

Now (while auditioning for a replacement tub thumper) the band have announced details of their largest shows to date. The tour starts at Dolans in Limerick on February 7, takes in an NME
Awards Show
at the Astoria in London on February 13 and culminates in a hometown (in a vague, geographical sense) concert at the Brighton, Dome on February 3.

To buy tickets for any of the band's shows go to the Xfm Ticket Shop by calling 0871 222 1049 online from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop by clicking here.

The Ordinary Boys are currently in the studio recording tracks for a February single release and their second album, due in the summer.

The Ordinary Boys full dates are as follows:

  • Limerick, Dolans (February 7)
  • Dublin, Music Centre (8)
  • Cambridge, Junction (10)
  • London, Astoria, NME Awards Show (13)
  • Newcastle, University (23)
