The Delays Get Lost In A Melody

The Delays dropped by Music:Response to play live and chat with Sarah Darling about bringing naivety and joy back to music and staying true to their ‘Popic’ style.Check it out here.
The Southampton four-piece met at school, released their debut single 'Nearer Than Heaven' in April 2003 and plan to release their second album in April 2005. This summer the band played their own sold out US tour along with supporting Franz Ferdinand on their massive US tour.
The boys chatted to Sarah Darling about looking forward to Christmas at home, a mini stage invasion in Edinburgh, that resulted in a stolen mic, their never ending tour, playing a gig in a fans kitchen and the new album, which is apparently spikier and more melancholic with lighter moments: 'we don't want to do the cliché darker and moodier second album, its more dynamic' [listen]

Self described as ‘the least soft track they’ve ever done’, a dazzling disco dancing, anthem exploding with gorgeous vocals, blending brilliant indie lyricism and sunshine pop. The new double A-side single is out this week.
