Tears In X-Ray Eyes – a.k.a multi-instrumentalist Tim Closs - released the ‘Sleep Like A Dream EP’ this week and took to the Xfm studios to show once again that the lonely thin boy schtick can still be done right. ‘Who’s Gonna Hurt You?’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] drops pathos and frailty like rain without ever resorting to self-pity. By contrast ‘Sleep Like A Dream’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] itself is positively upbeat and ‘The Charge Of The Light Brigade’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] whimsical like Wilde.
