Somewhere Only Keane Know

Hotly tipped indie pop trio Keane swung by Music:Response to release some cheery, baby Coldplay melodies. They also got all shy about Dido being a massive fan and had a chat with Sarah Darling about their sold out tour and their dream of supporting Travis coming true. Hear the session and interview here.
Described as "somewhere between a scuffed Coldplay and a frankly bewildered Beautiful South", Keane have only been on the scene for a year and a half. It all began when a string of minor gigs paved the way for their highly commended first single, ‘Everybody's Changing’. The exceptional second single ‘This Is The Last Time’, emerged in October, when they were signed to the mighty Island Records, their pick of an astonishing 21 offers - 2004 is looking very bright for Keane and the endless possibilities that lie ahead of them.
The Sussex three-piece came by Music: Response last night to play live and talk with Sarah Darling about getting a record deal, being at school together and naming themselves after a babysitter. Check the interview out here: [listen]

This charmingly beautiful and remarkably poignant tale is a taste of Keane’s forthcoming album, out later this year. But before all that the band will be touring the UK extensively, catch them while you can.
