Snow Patrol Confirm Release Of DVD And Mix CD

In a pre-Christmas release extravaganza, Snow Patrol are to release their first live DVD this month. The band also follow Death In Vegas, St. Etienne and Tom Middleton as the latest group to compile their very own double-disc DJ mixtape as part of ‘The Trip’ series.

With UK sales of ‘Final Straw’ currently pushing the million mark, Snow Patrol have confirmed there will be two more releases from the Patrol camp before the end of the year.

The band will release ‘Live At Somerset House’ on DVD on Polydor Records  November 22. The gig was filmed at Somerset House in August 2004 as part of the acclaimed Grolsch Summer Sessions.

Featuring songs from ‘Final Straw’ as well as tracks from the band’s back catalogue, the DVD also includes a video tour diary from their US and Japanese tours, a documentary and all of the videos from the album. The DVD also features the band’s take on The Undertones’ ‘Teenage Kicks’.

Snow Patrol also release the fifth instalment of ‘The Trip’ mix CD series compiled from the substantial record bag of Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody.

An eclectic mix, Lightbody’s selections include Mylo, Hot Chip, Bill Withers, The Shins and Springheel Jack amongst others. The album is released this week (November 1) and has the following tracklist:
