Rare Blur Documentary Set For DVD Release

Blur have announced they will be re-releasing their long out-of-print documentary ‘Starshaped’ on DVD from back in the day when they all liked each other. The DVD will also contain rare footage from two more vintage Blur shows.

Previously only available on VHS, Parlophone have confirmed that they will be re- releasing ‘Starshaped’ on September 27 on double DVD.

First released in 1993, the VHS was bought in droves by teenage girls wishing to keep their own personal copy of Damon looking skyward during ‘There’s No Other Way’ before being discontinued. The documentary follows a young Blur on the road from 1991 to 1994, and features live footage from Reading 1991, Glastonbury 92, the Heineken Music Festival 94 and some various other European festivals pre-‘Parklife’ era.

However, the reissued DVD will also feature a complete show at the Kilburn National Ballroom in 1991 and half of the band’s Princess Charlotte gig in 1990 as well as the promo video for ‘There's No Other Way’. That means you get ‘There’s No Other Way’ a total of four times which must be surely worth the asking price alone.
