Pete Doherty Saga Pt. III: Update

Well the day wouldn’t be complete without a Pete Doherty news story. Therefore Xfm are pleased to confirm* that Pete will be plating a free gig this weekend for all those who attended the cancelled Barfly gig on Monday (August 2).
Breaking News: The Barfly have confirmed today that Peter Doherty will be playing tonight's (August 6)sold-out gig and that fans with tickets should attend as previously advertised.
A statement from Ticketweb concerning Monday's cancelled show has been posted on thelibertines.org.uk and reads as follows:
“For those of you that bought tickets for the cancelled Barfly gig Pete Doherty on the 2nd August, the promoter has asked us to invite you to another Pete Doherty gig for free details below:
• Sat 7th August - 9pm
• Wadestock - Feat acoustic set from Pete Doherty.
• Gt Eastern Hotel, Liverpool Street, London, EC2
To gain entry to this gig you will need proof of the original ticket purchase. This should be your original email confirmation or the email you were sent about the cancelled show.”
These details have been confirmed as accurate with the hotel’s PR department (apart from the fact that the doors are at 8pm and not 9pm). Doherty’s stage time is currently not known. However, the venue has a capacity of 600 (divided between two rooms of roughly 300 a piece) so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
For those without Monday's Barfly tickets there is no advance ticketing, though they will be retailing on the door at £10 a piece.
*Note: These details were correct at the time of publication. Don’t blame us if he doesn’t turn up.
