Pete Doherty Booted From Top Of The Pops

Reports claim that Pete Doherty was kicked out of the 'Top Of The Pops' studio where Babyshambles were recording a performance of their new single ‘Killamangiro’ after the singer started brawling with a member of the audience.
The Sun reports that the band were rehearsing the track on Thursday (December 9) at BBC studios, when a member of the watching audience, named as Oli Res-Horsely shouted out “How much crack have you had?”
Doherty then allegedly took offence at the remark, dived off the stage and “wrestled Oli to the ground.” Security then arrived and pulled the two men apart. Oli was taken backstage and Doherty was allowed to complete his performance.
However TOTP producer Andi Peters decided that having the band perform live would be too much of a liability and banned the group from the studio, meaning producers were forced to use footage taken from the rehearsals.
Oli however, was allowed to remain in the studio and explained, “They told me Pete is always in trouble when he's down so they decided to get rid of him and not me. So I got to watch the show after all.
“Andi sneaked me out the back door afterwards and gave me and my mates our cab fare home to apologise for what happened.
“He’d been told Pete was waiting outside to have another pop. All I remember is Pete coming for me like a whirlwind and the two of us grappling on the floor."
In other Doherty-related news, The Sun also reports that his former bandmate in The Libertines, Carl Barat has formed a new supergroup named The Chavs, featuring Charlatans singer Tim Burgess, Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows and Primal Scream’s Martin Duffy.
