Norm Hits The Road: Fatboy Slim Announces Tour

Fatboy Slim a.k.a. Norman Cook has confirmed that he will be hitting the road for a series of UK tour dates to coincide with the release of his new single ‘Slash Dot Dash’ and new album ‘Palookaville’.
Fatboy Slim will be back on tour this October for a handful of UK shows beginning at Newcastle’s Northumbria University on October 13 before calling at Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich, Leeds and Cardiff.
Tickets for the shows go on sale via fatboyslim.net on August 5, and general release the following day (6) at 0900.
As previously reported on Xfm Online, Fatboy Slim will release his comeback single ‘Slash Dot Dash’ on September 13. Speaking about the record Cook explained,
“‘Slash Dot Dash’ is a mix of old and new Fatboy…The plan was to throw in a bit of Buzzcocks and the White Stripes. The track is just a comment on this new language people seem to have - although I don’t even own a computer. Well, I do, the Atari in my studio, but no one ever sent me an email on that!”
The album 'Palookaville' is released on October 4 and features guest appearances from, amongst others, Damon Albarn, Lateef from Blackalicious, Latryx and Bootsy Collins.
The tour calls at:
- Newcastle Northumbria University (October 13)
- Sheffield University Octagon (14)
- Liverpool University (15)
- Manchester Academy 1 (16)
- Nottingham Trent University (20)
- Norwich UEA (21)
- Leeds University (22)
- Cardiff University (23)
