Marilyn Manson Greatest Hits Released

The 18-track comp will feature all the singles released during Manson’s 10 year career from his six studio album  (1994’s 'Portrait of an American Family’, 1995’s ‘Smells Like Children’,  1996’s ‘Antichrist Superstar’, 1998’s ‘Mechanical Animals’, 2000’s  ‘Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death)’ and 2003’s ‘The Golden Age of Grotesque’)

Alongside singles like ‘Beautiful People’, ‘The Dope Show’ and ‘Lunch Box’, the album will also feature a brand new track, Manson’s version of Depeche Mode's ‘Personal Jesus’ which will be released as the record's first single.

Speaking on his official website, Manson himself seems happy that his career has lasted this long and hints that new material is on the way.
 
“It has taken ten years, boys and girls, to climb this ugly hill and these are the Songs of Golgotha.” He explains, “We have put together the best of what we have made and this is only a reminder that you can cut off the head but it only grows back harder. The band is in the studio, still growing and there is no sign of our knuckles healing."

In other Manson news, the star is featuring as the voice of an alien (called Edgar) in a new version of the computer game Area 51 alongside X Files actor David Duchovny.
