Manic Street Preachers Cancel Tourdates

added 14 December 2004 at 11.59

After the cancellation of last night’s (December 13) show at the Cardiff International Arena, the Manic Street Preachers have also been forced to pull out of their show at the Glasgow SECC also due to illness.

A statement from the band last night (December 13) explained that singer James Dean Bradfield has been struck down with severe flu, and cannot play the events. It reads,

“Tonight's show at Cardiff International Arena (December 13th) and tomorrow’s show at Glasgow SECC (December 14th) have unfortunately been postponed. Singer James is unable to perform due to a bad case of flu.

“The two shows will be rescheduled at the earliest possible convenience.”

All tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced soon, or refunds are available for the original point of sale.

The band are hoping that Bradfield will be well enough to play the remaining dates at the Birmingham NEC on Thursday December 16 and the Manchester MEN Arena on Friday December 17, but there has been no confirmation about either show.
